The History

Lake Crescent Cottage was initially built by a former mayor of Port Angeles in the 1950s before the lake was added to Olympic National Park. it is one of the few independently owned properties remaining in the park. It was expanded in the 1970s by one of the region's old logging families. They expanded the footprint and built the decks out of their private stock of cedar. In 2003 we bought it. We hired Winborn Architects to carry out a gut remodel, completely transforming the property. From 2005 to 2014, until we moved into it full time, we rented it during the summer and fall to Olympic National Park visitors. We can provide the rental history and details about the income generated, which was substantial.
